Escape to the great outdoors and join us for our annual Bluebell Festival nestled in the magical Portglenone Forest! As spring unfurls its vibrant colours, the forest transforms into a fairy-tale landscape, with a mesmerising sea of bluebells blanketing the ground. Celebrate the arrival of spring and embrace the beauty of nature with us at this special nature inspired event. 

Highlights of the Day:

All-Day Fun: Dive into a range of activities including bushcraft, orienteering, pop-up play, seed planting, and face painting. Let your imagination run wild and create lasting memories with your family and friends.

Special Guests: Meet and greet with representatives from Ulster Wildlife, RSPB, and Community Rescue Service. Learn about their conservation efforts and how you can get involved in protecting our natural world and local community.

Live Music: Get ready to dance and sing along with the talented Maguire providing toe-tapping performances to keep you entertained throughout the day.

Refreshments: Treat yourself to delicious refreshments available on-site to keep you energised and refreshed throughout the day.

Guided Activities include:

Wild Yoga: Join Linda Stevenson for a rejuvenating session of Wild Yoga at 11:30 and 13:00. Relax and stretch amidst the tranquil surroundings of the forest. Don't forget to bring your own yoga mat for this peaceful experience.

Walk and Talk: Embark on a journey through the ancient woodland with locals Damien and Ciaran at 11:45 and 13:45. Discover the fascinating stories and secrets that these majestic trees have to share.

Nature Wander: Join the Forest Service at 12:00 and 14:00 for a nature-themed wander. Explore the beauty of the bluebells and delve deeper into the wonders of the forest.

Parking on site is limited.  A Park and Ride will be available from Portglenone Marina (1.4 miles from Forest).  The marina is on the Gortgole Road signposted from the village. 

This event is proudly run in association with Portglenone Enterprise Group and Apex Housing Association.
