Braid Film Theatre with Fright Club NI Presents Boys From The County Hell

About

Join us for another Fright Club screening at the Braid Arts Centre as we present a special 5th Anniversary screening of Chris Baugh's hilariously scary vampire horror comedy BOYS FROM COUNTY HELL with a special appearance from star Nigel O'Neill.

Based on the local legend Abhartach, which is said to have heavily inspired Bram Stoker in the creation of Count Dracula, Boys From County Hell follows a group of road workers, led by a bickering father and son, who must survive the night when they accidentally awaken an ancient Irish vampire.

The film originally premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in the US in 2020 and then went on a very successful festival run before its wide release in 2021. It features a host of extremely talented Irish and British actors including Jack Rowan (Born to Kill), Fra Fee (Les Miserables), Louisa Harland (Derry Girls) and the legendary John Lynch (In the Name of the Father).

MEET NIGEL O'NEILL

We are delighted to announce that star of the film Nigel O'Neill who plays the father Francie Moffat will be in attendance for this special 5th Anniversary screening.

Nigel has also starred in Bad Day for the Cut, All You Need is Death, Game of Thrones and the hit Disney+ Irish drama Say Nothing.

*Nigel O'Neill's appearance is dependent on his work schedule
