About

The Marine Bar is a hidden cosy pub, located near the Whitehead promenade and train station, offering a welcoming and friendly visitor experience. The interior is traditional and quirky with nautical maps and shipping themes. It boasts a large and very old map of Ireland above the welcoming fireplace.

It has been a pub since 1857 and was originally part of the Marine Hotel Buildings, it is a small intimate venue and can accommodate up to 100 It attracts locals and visitors of all ages. people.

Entertainment includes live traditional music with local band ‘Shin Dig’ every Thursday from 21:00 - 00:00. We also offers regular live, popular and upcoming local bands, check our Facebook page to see who is playing and any upcoming events. We host Open mic nights and regular charity quiz nights throughout the year.

Facilities include a ground floor bar and dance floor area with small stage. Pool table and darts area. Traditional roaring fire in winter and a smoking area in the rear enclosed yard.
