August Craft Month at Arthur Cottage – 2025
Celebrate traditional skills and craftsmanship at Arthur Cottage every Saturday from 9 August!
Step into the past and enjoy live demonstrations and a special hands-on workshop in the atmospheric surroundings of this historic 18th-century cottage.

Event Schedule:
Saturday 9 August – Crochet Demonstration
Watch the art of crochet in action as skilled hands create beautiful patterns using traditional techniques.

Saturday 16 August – Traditional Baking Demonstration
Take in the delicious sights and smells as you enjoy traditional griddle baking over the open fire.

Saturday 23 August – Spinning Demonstration
Discover the fascinating process of turning wool into yarn with a live spinning demonstration using heritage tools.

✂️ Saturday 30 August – A Cut Above: Traditional Sewing of Scissor Holders
Get creative in this hands-on sewing workshop, where you'll make your own scissor holder using traditional methods.
Booking essential – £10 per person.

Venue: Arthur Cottage, Cullybackey
Times:

Demonstrations (9, 16 & 23 August): Run throughout normal opening hours, 11:00am – 3:00pm

Workshop (30 August): 12:00 noon – 3:00pm
