About

Watercolour Day Workshop: Capturing Ballymena in Paint
11am – 4pm | Mixed Ability Welcome
Spend a relaxed and inspiring day exploring the beauty of Ballymena through watercolour. This workshop is designed for all skill levels—from complete beginners to those looking to develop their style further.

In the morning, we'll focus on playful exploration: getting to grips with essential watercolour techniques, experimenting with washes, textures, and brushwork, and discovering how to loosen up your approach. You'll be encouraged to try different styles and find what feels natural and expressive for you.

After a break, we'll settle into the afternoon with a more focused session, using Ballymena's local scenery as our inspiration. Guided step-by-step, you'll create your own interpretation of a landscape, building confidence in composition, colour, and storytelling through paint.

Trisha will guide you in a creative, relaxed atmosphere where experimentation is encouraged. By the end of the day, you'll not only have a finished piece to take home, but also a toolkit of techniques and ideas to continue your watercolour journey. Please bring along a packed lunch etc, for mid-session break. £30 per person. This is part of the Ballymena 400 celebrations.
