About

Ulster Scots Leid Week 2025

Join us for the DAILYGAN CONCERT in the Studio Theatre at the Braid on Thursday 27th November at 7.30pm. Artists will be Stonewall Ulster Scots, bringing music and yarn from Scotland, Ulster and America; Colin Urwin, singer, songwriter and storyteller; and piper Duane Johnston.

Stonewall, who were formed in 2007, are based in County Antrim and feature a wealth of musical talent. Named after General Stonewall Jackson, whose ancestral home was at the Birches in County Armagh, the band have performed throughout Northern Ireland and also in China, Europe and the United States. They are making a welcome return after a playing to a capacity audience last year in the Braid Studio Theatre.

Colin Urwin is Storyteller in Residence for The Waterways Community and lives outside Glenarm. He is a storyteller, folksinger, songwriter and author, and will be bringing stories that connect Scotland and Ulster to the Dailygan event. Colin is author of 'Dalriada Folk Tales' as well as other books, and an album, ‘A Kind of Love Song’. He has forty years of experience as a folksinger and a unique repertoire of songs, stories and recitations.

A great evening of entertainment is guaranteed!
