About

Something new is taking shape in the heart of Ballymena.

Woven is a grassroots music and arts festival that brings together live music, visual creativity, and community spirit for a day of discovery, connection, and celebration. Inspired by Ballymena's proud linen-making heritage, Woven takes its name from the threads that bind people together — stories, culture, creativity, and shared experiences.

Created by Braid Rhythm Sessions, a collective of local artists, musicians, and event organisers, Woven has grown from a simple idea: to create a festival that feels truly connected to the place it calls home. Built by people who are passionate about Ballymena's creative scene, the festival shines a light on the artists, performers, makers, and dreamers who continue to shape the town's cultural identity.

Across the festival, audiences can explore a carefully curated programme of live music, visual art, creative installations, workshops, and unexpected moments. Whether you're discovering your next favourite band, wandering through immersive artistic spaces, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, Woven invites you to experience creativity in all its forms.

The festival celebrates both emerging and established talent, creating opportunities for local artists to share their work alongside exciting guests from further afield. Every performance, exhibition, and creative space has been chosen to encourage curiosity, conversation, and connection.

But Woven is about more than what's on stage. It's about creating a sense of belonging. It's about bringing people together to celebrate the culture, character, and creativity that already exists within our community. In a world that often feels disconnected, Woven offers a chance to gather, share experiences, and be part of something meaningful.

Whether you're a lifelong supporter of the arts, a passionate music fan, or simply looking for a memorable day out, Woven welcomes you. Come and explore new sounds, meet new people, support local creativity, and experience Ballymena from a different perspective.  Join us as we weave together music, art, and community into something vibrant, inspiring, and uniquely Ballymena. This is more than a festival...it's the beginning of a new tradition.

Featuring Aries Air, Consolers, Muted Tweed, Black River Myth, Arc Dakota, Somehow Sentient, RAGEWOLF, Joe Rocks, Bob Speers, The Hideaways, Musicians Collective, Gerry Talbot, DEADLY SONS, Moment Of Resistance, Dean McKay, Paul Wylde & Staggered Junction.
