About
Join Angeline King as she delves into the mystery of the Agnew family, the subject of her latest novel, The Secret Diary of Stephanie Agnew. Several Agnew families lived side by side in Kilwaughter and all around the Larne area in the 1600s, among them militiamen working for the MacDonnells, Irish Catholic master poets and Presbyterian landowners who wrote in Scots. Could there have been a connection between all these families?
Angeline explores this in a talk at 7.00pm on Thursday 28th August at Larne Museum & Arts Centre, which may be of interest to Agnew family members or fans of the history of Larne, Kilwaughter & Ballygally. As this is the 400th anniversary of Ballygally Castle, Angeline will reveal some special links with Ballygally and the Shaw family.
This is a free event, however places are limited and should be booked in advance by contacting Larne Museum & Arts Centre on 028 28 262443 or e-mailing marian.kelso@midandeastantrim.gov.uk. Light refreshments provided.
