Discover the magic of the Glenarm Arts and Literary Fayre on Saturday 30 August 2025, from 10:00 to 16:00 at Eglinton Barn, Glenarm.

This lively and welcoming event offers something for everyone, with hundreds of books for sale from a variety of booksellers and dealers. Visitors can explore an exciting mix of antiquarian, rare and collectible books, along with local interest titles, children’s books, maps, and other fascinating ephemera.

A selection of local artists will also be exhibiting their work, with some offering live demonstrations throughout the day. It’s a wonderful chance to experience the talent and creativity that thrive in the Glenarm area.

Admission is free, and there is plenty of car parking available, making it easy for all to attend.

The celebration doesn’t stop at Eglinton Barn - arts-oriented events will be taking place throughout the village. Highlights include author talks, special guest speakers, a live murder mystery event, storytelling sessions designed for both children and dementia-friendly audiences, and guided walks through the village and surrounding forest.

Whether you're a book lover, art enthusiast, or simply looking for a charming day in a beautiful setting, Glenarm is the place to be.

Road Directions

From Belfast to Glenarm (approx. 1 hour / 30 miles):   Start on the M2 Northbound from Belfast city centre. Take the A8 exit toward Larne. At Larne, follow signs for the Coast Road (A2) northbound. Stay on the A2 along the scenic coast — Glenarm will be one of the first villages you reach.  Tip: This is a beautiful coastal drive; great views along the Antrim Coast.

From the North Coast (e.g., Portrush / Ballycastle) to Glenarm (approx. 1–1.5 hours):  From Portrush/Ballycastle, take the A2 Coast Road southbound (signs for Cushendall/Glenariff/Glenarm). Pass through Cushendun and Cushendall. Continue on the A2 — Glenarm is just south of Carnlough.  Tip: This is one of the most scenic routes in Ireland - worth taking your time.
