Rites of Passage

About

A new exhibition by Mid and East Antrim Museum & Heritage Service which explores our common experience of birth and death and for many the life changing experience of getting married. A fascinating display of objects from the Council's three museums will show how these life defining moments have been experienced communally by past generations of local people within their family and community. The exhibition asks how do their customs and rituals still shape our modern experience? How much have we retained and how much have we changed what we believe about these life stages and how we should mark them?
