Tale Time’s Vicki McFarland will be running children’s storytelling sessions at 11:00 and 14:00 – learn about the end of the last Ice Age and how people adapted to the changing environment.
Visit our Pop-up Prehistoric Museum to handle real prehistoric artefacts and replica pieces and ask an archaeologist any questions you have about archaeology and the Stone Age.
Join artist Janet Crymble to craft your own Stone Age art and jewellery using a range of natural materials.
Play a prehistoric game, build a soft-play megalithic monument, and dress up as a hunter-gatherer.
Visit Carrickfergus Museum’s latest exhibition – ‘Cutting Edge Technology: Stone Tools in Prehistory’, to see an exciting new collection of Mesolithic flint tools from Glynn, Co. Antrim and learn about the origins of stone tools and how they were made.
