About
Visual Noise is a project from Positive Carrickfergus, run as part of our Positive Sounds music development work. It’s a collaboration between local photographers and musicians of all ages and backgrounds: our photographers captured a series of images (many taken right here in Carrick), and our musicians composed original pieces inspired by them.
The Visual Noise Exhibition is delivered in partnership with Carrickfergus Museum with funding support from Arts Council NI and Clanmil Housing Association.
The exhibition explores how emotion "translates" from one art form to another. While photography and music feel very different, both are powerful ways to tell a story. By bringing these two worlds together, we’re encouraging new interpretations of our town and celebrating the incredible creativity found right here in Carrickfergus.
On Thursday 9th April at 7pm, we will be hosting a live event featuring the accompanying music that forms part of the exhibition.
We invite you to experience this unique celebration of local talent and cross-generational storytelling.
