About

Come along this May Bank Holiday, Monday 4th May, and enjoy a fantastic family day out at Whitehead Railway Museum, in conjunction with Wee Critters – an exciting, interactive animal education experience.

Your ticket includes:

A 10-minute steam train ride within our premises, hauled by our 106-year-old engine No. 3BG 'Guinness'.
A 45-minute hands-on Wee Critters experience in our education room, where you may meet a variety of fascinating creatures such as snakes, lizards, giant snails and even some furry friends!
Entry to our 5-gallery museum, where you can explore at your leisure.
This popular event usually sells out quickly, and places are limited, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your allocated time slot, the time on your ticket is the time your train ride departs.

While you're here, enjoy tasty treats and refreshments at our onsite Cups and Carriages Café.

Please note:

The Wee Critters experience is not suitable for children under 3 years old.
