Talk at Carrickfergus Museum

Saturday 8th February, 11am

Join art historian Dickon Hall for an insightful look into the works of Carrickfergus-born Artist Arthur Armstrong, widely regarded during his lifetime as one of the most significant Irish landscape painters. The exhibition on display at Carrickfergus Museum contains over 30 paintings by the distinguished artist from across his career, as well as previously unseen archive material. The show includes paintings from the museum’s collection together with a substantial number from private collections to create the first notable exhibition of Armstrong’s work since an Arts Council of Northern Ireland retrospective in 1980.
