Teddy Bears Picnic @ Whitehead Railway Museum

Whitehead Railway Museum, Excursion Station, Castleview Road, Whitehead, County Antrim, BT38 9NA

About

Do you love your teddy enough to bring it down to Whitehead Railway Museum for a day to celebrate our special companions? Bring your teddy, big or small, and treat it to a short ride in a carriage that is hauled by our steam engine ‘Guinness’. Then explore our five-gallery museum. Can you find all of the teddies hidden around the museum and, will you be able to find Harvey, our very own railway bear, who is having a picnic somewhere on site with some friends. There will also be other activities to keep you entertained in our Education room. So, what are you waiting for. Get teddy ready for a great day out!

Short train rides are every 30 minutes from 11am until 3pm (except 1pm), but tickets need to be booked in advance to get your preferred time slot. Note, this is a short train ride – 3 trips up and down our own railway platform.  Although you will be hauled by an engine under steam, you will not be transported off our site.

**Please arrive 10 minutes before your allocated time. The short steam train ride will be your first activity.**

Afterwards, treat yourself in our Cups & Carriages Edwardian Tea Room.
