About

EJ’s Country Kitchen at Hillstown is a family-run café between Randalstown and Ahoghill serving breakfast, lunch, and home-baked treats. The focus is on simple, fresh food using local ingredients.

The breakfast menu includes full Irish fry-ups, breakfast baps, French toast, pancakes, and free-range eggs cooked to order. Lunch options feature homemade soup with wheaten bread, paninis, wraps, salads, and weekly specials, along with a range of sides and chips. There’s also a kids’ menu with smaller portions of café favourite and in summer expect a range of ice cream treats.

EJ’s sources its meat from Hillstown Farm Shop, located next door, with most produce coming directly from their farm. Old Mill Bakery in Ballymena supplies the fry bread, and all free-range eggs come from EJ’s own hens. Freshly baked scones, croissants, sausage rolls, and seasonal bakes are made in-house or sourced from trusted local bakers.

Whether it’s a lazy weekend breakfast, a light lunch, or a treat from the bakery counter, EJ’s Country Kitchen combines local produce, home cooking, and warm hospitality to create a place where customers feel right at home.

Regular bistro nights, seasonal events, and special offers make it a favourite gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, plus seasonal events are run by Hillstown Farm Shop for visitors to pop by and enjoy!
