David Hume is a member of Tour Guides NI and boasts many years of experience as a tour guide.  He is also a keen local historian, author, lecturer, and a sometime freelance broadcaster on BBC Radio Ulster.

He specialises in Ulster-Scots, Ulster-American, and 19th and 20th-century Irish history, but he is fascinated by all aspects of history.

He possesses a good working knowledge of sites and locations across Northern Ireland. His main centre of operation is East Antrim, although he covers other areas as well. He is often praised for his ability to retain a wealth of information and bring history to life, something he always endeavours to do.
