About

From its transformation in 2016, Midtown Makers Gift Shop, has become one of Northern Ireland's foremost handmade craft and gift shops, located on Church Street, Ballymena.

Midtown Makers offer a creative gift idea for everyone with incredible products from its collective of over 60 individual artists and craft makers selling unique and often bespoke products. We are home to people whose talents grow into something special and also home of Bertie and Bella, the Ballymena Bears.

We retail a range of gifts for all occasions with a large range of hand-made gifts such as goat's soap, jams and chutneys, crocheted, embroidered and knitted items, memory bears, cushions, hand felted gifts, melts and candles.

We also have sandblasted slate gifts with a Celtic theme, as well as Irish themed wall hangings, bowls, ceramics, clay, handmade jewellery and beads plus glass work and woodwork.

We have a fantastic range of acrylic, oil and watercolour paintings, plus photographs, both framed and mounted, which highlight areas used in Game of Thrones®, local scenery and our coastline. There is also a collection of hand-made cards showing local scenes from Northern Ireland.

We offer an order and collect system, where customers can order bespoke gifts and collect them in store.

A range of craft workshops and events regularly take place, check website for latest.

Visitor Information Hub located in the shop, offering leaflets and information on the local Ballymena area, Mid and East Antrim and the wider Northern Ireland attractions.
