Join us on Saturday 14 November in Ballymena town centre as we switch on the Ballymena Christmas Lights!
Local Legend, DJ Mark Ritchie will be spinning the Christmas hits from The Harmony Hub from 2pm before Kirstie McMurray from Downtown Radio takes over from 4pm with competitions and giveaways. Downtown Radio's appearance is thanks to Ballymena BID, Council's partner for this event. Quiet Time takes place at Wellington Court 3pm-4pm with a relaxed session of sensory play. There will be Christmassy walkabout characters, face painting, crafts and a petting farm in Wellington Court. Toe-tapping tunes will fill the Harmony Hub concert stage - featuring live music from Xeblam and Ballymena Chamber Orchestra.
The Santa Parade starts from Wellington Street at 6pm and will feature Cullybackey Pipe Band, festive floats, Christmas trains, children from Ballymena PS and Dunclug PS, Santa, and plenty of festive characters to entertain the crowds!
The route will take in Wellington Street, Ballymoney Street, William Street, Broughshane Street, (pause at Harmony Hub to switch on the lights at 6.30pm with Santa and the Mayor) continue on to Church Street, Bryan Street and back to the Tower Centre who are kindly helping put on event.
