The ultimate team challenge, this live action game has been designed to have a role for everyone in your team, the brains and the brawn, the scholar and the mathematician, the riddler and the creator.

Long ago, in the first age of Ireland, when the hills still murmured the names of forgotten gods and the rivers carried whispers from the Otherworld, at each turning of the year, as the light waned and the breath of winter coiled through the land, the people gathered to mark Samhain — Summer's end. It was the ending of harvest. The fields, stripped of grain, lay sleeping beneath a silver mist. The cattle were herded down from the wild hills, and the last potatoes sheltered in the straw. The sun's strength faltered; the year's bright half was dying. Now came the dark. Fires must be raised to defy the gathering cold, for on this night, on this cusp between seasons, the veil that parted the world of the living from the dead grew thin as mist.

The legends of that time live on, the sacred fire fed with the bones of animals that had sustained the village through the year now our bonfires, the embers carried home from the sacred fire in hollowed turnips to relight the fire in their hearths now our pumpkin lamps, the cloaks of animal hides and monstrous face masks worn to fool any wandering evil spirit into thinking them one of their own now our Halloween costumes and the treats laid out to appease the mischievous fairy folk, free to roam on this night, now our trick or treating
