Laurel cottage is situated in the peaceful countryside yet just 5 miles from the busy shopping town of Ballymena.

There are excellent transport links available with Belfast International Airport 22 miles away (28 minutes by car or taxi) and George Best Belfast City Airport 37 miles away (40 minutes by car or taxi) with the port of Larne only 27 miles away. If travelling by car the cottage is situated 1.5 miles from the main dual carriageway (A26).

The scenic North Coast is a mere 30 minutes drive away where you can visit the beautiful Whiterocks beach, Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge and Dunluce Castle all of which have become a favourite for locals and international visitors. From the town of Ballycastle (22 miles away) you can board a boat to the idyllic Rathlin Island.

You can enjoy an afternoon exploring the towns of Portrush and Portstewart with the famous Whitehouse department store for shopping. The are also fine restaurants and wine bars should you wish to sample the local cuisine.

Royal Portrush Golf Club which is home to one of the best and most challenging links golf courses in the world is also situated in Portrush and is the only club in Ireland that has played host to The Open Championship.

For those fans of Game of Thrones, the Dark Hedges and Ballintoy Harbour are 17 and 26 miles away respectively.

Galgorm Resort and Spa is four miles from the cottage.
