Castello Italia

About

Perfectly located along the Causeway Coastal Route, Castello Italia enjoys sweeping views over Belfast Lough and sits just a short walk from the historic Carrickfergus Castle. Its beautiful first‑floor restaurant offers a warm, relaxed setting with unrivalled panoramic scenery, making it an unforgettable place to dine.

Castello Italia serves a carefully curated menu of authentic Italian dishes, from indulgent desserts to fresh, handcrafted breads, ravioli and artisan gelato made in‑house with unique weekly flavours. Their popular Affettati Misti - a sharing board of sliced cured meats, olives, hummus, sundried tomatoes and freshly baked breads - remains a favourite among guests.

The kitchen offers a full and diverse menu throughout the week, including sirloin steak, scallops, seabass, chicken scallopini, lasagne, chicken stack, featherblade and much more. Authentic thin‑base Italian pizzas are available daily, alongside a wide selection of vegetarian, vegan, fish and meat dishes, all prepared with seasonal and locally sourced produce wherever possible.

Lunch is also served Friday to Sunday, so whether you’re visiting with young children, meeting friends for coffee and dessert, or enjoying a romantic evening, their first‑floor restaurant provides a welcoming space for every occasion.

Those planning a special gathering will find the top floor available for exclusive hire, complete with a private bar, private toilets and dedicated staff. It is the ideal choice for intimate weddings, birthday celebrations, baby showers, funerals and a wide variety of private events.

At Castello Italia, exceptional food, breathtaking views and warm hospitality come together to create an elevated dining experience for all. Visitors simply arrive, turn left, and head upstairs to discover the heart of this Italian gem.
