The Bank House Whitehead

12 Edward Road, Whitehead, County Antrim, BT38 9QB
Building exterior of the red brick Bank House Cafe

About

This award winning shop and café can be found in the pretty Victorian/Edwardian village of Whitehead and its very much a destination in its own right. The shop is home to lots of things you won’t find easily anywhere else, including quirky, unusual and beautiful local craft.

The Bank House café prides itself in supporting local suppliers, speciality coffee from local roasters Bailies, freshly baked preservative-free breads from McKees Bakery and all our ingredients for our Avoca style salads are sourced locally and include freshly grown herbs from our own garden. .

Look forward to yummy breakfasts, elevenses, lunches and afternoon teas, cakes baked in-house and freshly made sandwiches.  You will find yourself popping in at any time of the day, and on a warm day sitting in the beautifully landscaped café garden with the lifesize Willow Man and Horse pulling a plough, created by Welig Heritage Crafts. You can freely pick the garden herbs too!  A light rock group plays on Wednesday afternoons, and a traditional Irish group plays on Friday afternoons. Family-friendly and dog-friendly, too.
