About

LOOKING FOR THAT SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT?  You won’t find anything more unique than The Sheddings for your magical wedding day.

A unique & tranquil location

Set in the heart of 1500 acres of ancient woodland, surrounded by the famous Glenarm river, Glenarm Castle has opened its estate to this new and exciting wedding venue, offering the perfect location to say I Do.

The First Tipple

Between your ceremony and reception, enjoy your first tipple as a married couple in our designated drinks reception area located on our front lawn beneath a stretch canopy to allow for the good old ‘Norn Irish’ weather. With the Glenarm River gently flowing at the foot of one of The Glen’s Of Antrim there’s no better spot to toast to a life of happiness, love and wedded bliss.

The Sheddings is a fully licensed venue and can provide an extensive range of drinks including wine, draft & bottled beer as well as bespoke cocktails created specifically for your special day.

The Main Event

Our custom built stretch tent marquee comfortably seats up to 200 guests for large weddings yet will be equally intimate and equipped for smaller, more personable weddings and special occasions.

Complete with tables, chairs, cutlery, glassware and a breathtaking view over the Glens Of Antrim, our custom built marquee is perfect for those wanting a simple and elegant reception.  Make our reception tent your own by adding candles, floral arrangements, fairy lights and more to create a romantic and intimate setting like no other.  Should you wish to add your own personal touch, we would be happy to recommend one of our approved suppliers to help you to create your dream look.

Let’s Party

Dance the night away with your nearest and dearest on our dedicated dance floor whilst the marquee is transformed from a dinner setting to the ultimate party to celebrate the newlywed couple. With bespoke cocktails, the finest wines and draft beer on hand, we can accommodate just abut anything you and your guests desire.

Should your guests need a break from dancing the night away, they are welcome to retire to The Sheddings Lodge for a well deserved seat in our lounge area and a chance to catch up with old friends.

Should you wish to add that extra special touch to your evening reception, there’s nothing more romantic than seeing The Glens Of Antrim lit up with a stunning fireworks display.

Capture Those Special Moments

After you’ve had a chance to catch your breath and be congratulated by your guests, take advantage of our stunning surroundings and let 1500 acres of beautiful woodland set the scene for your wedding photographs. Loose yourselves in your surroundings and capture those special moments along the banks of the Glenarm River or pop down to the famous Glenarm Bay and take advantage of the beautiful landscape and seascape along one of Ireland’s most famous coastal roads.

With the light and tide constantly changing an evolving throughout the day, the surrounding area provides a romantic backdrop like no other.

To enquire about saying I Do at The Sheddings, contact a member of our team who will be more than happy to help you create the magical day you’ve always dreamed of.

Please note we have limited availability for weddings at Glenarm Castle therefore we would advise you to book well in advance.
