About

The Milk Parlour is situated within the grounds of Glenarm Castle estate on the Causeway Coastal Route. Enjoy your favourite flavour on a sunny day at their Pavilion or take home the family’s favourite flavour for a weekend treat.

Established in 2021, The Milk Parlour is a new Ice Cream Lab making incredible ice cream with milk from the only local pedigree dairy Shorthorn Herd in Northern Ireland. The milk is sustainably sourced from the Barr Family at Tannybrake Farm.

They don't do ordinary so expect lots of popular flavours and a few surprises such as White Chocolate and Amarena Cherry; Captain Morgan’s Rum & Raisin; Salted Caramel Brownie; Tiramisu; Rhubarb & Clementine Gelato; Mint Cookie Crisp with crushed Oreo Cookies; Smashed Avocado and Cinnamon toast; lemon and blueberry ripple. There’s literally flavours to suit all tastes as well as sundaes, waffles, milkshakes and hot drinks.

They regularly produce dairy free sorbets and their popular Biscoff Ice Cream is vegan and made with minor figures oat milk. They even love collaborating with local businesses and make Clandeboye Estate frozen yoghurt rippled with different flavours or ice cream incorporating Suki Tea.

They make all their ice cream fresh to order, when it’s gone it’s gone. They could stockpile it in giant freezers but they don’t want to do that. When they run out of milk & cream they literally call the farm and say “Ruth we need more milk” Ruth, her hubby Scott and baby Lily then bring it fresh from their pedigree shorthorn herd on the farm to the Lab and a few hours later it’s ice cream. It’s that simple, and that’s why it works. Come along and taste the difference!

They also bake all their cookies by hand! Their cookie sandwich is a thing of beauty! Pick any flavour then decide if you want it Dipped or Rolled. Dipped in Warm Nutella or Warm Biscoff, rolled is your cookie rolled in any of their toppings.

The Milk Parlour is open daily for take away. #followtheherd Read Less
