About

Set in The Courtyard, Carrickfergus, The Secret Bookshelf is a hidden gem of a shop. Up a set of iron stairs, the shop is divided into a series of book rooms.

The show room displays gift and collectible books, with a range of Irish-signed work, as well as artwork, cards, gifts and magical wands (we take no responsibility for any magical effects.) A bargain book room stocks a range of high-quality bargain books including some from the Folio Society and a nice range of vintage books.

Our bespoke children’s bookstore carries a range of board books, children’s gift books, young adult books with space to curl up on a cushion and read.

The shop can also accept customer orders and is happy to source out of print books where possible. We do love a challenge, so please ask!
