About

Ireland's best independent bookstore, 2024. Set in The Courtyard, Carrickfergus, The Secret Bookshelf is a hidden gem of a shop.

From a fabulous Irish interest section, to the latest releases, the main showroom has a vast range of books. Coupled with a children's bookroom, and a curated pre-loved section it's a 'proper' bookstore.

The shop can also accept customer orders and is happy to source out of print books where possible. We do love a challenge, so please ask!

We take National Book Tokens.
