Temple Effin, which owes its name to the local townland, is a completely refurbished, self-contained cottage. Temple Effin cottage has two bedrooms, living room with a welcoming open fire, kitchen, bathroom and a rear area ideal for al fresco dining as well as a private garden area. Parking is available at the front of the cottage.

This gem of a property exudes warmth and is the ideal location for your holiday in this most beautiful part of Northern Ireland.

It is the perfect touring base for many attractions in Northern Ireland including the dramatic Victorian coastal walk of the Gobbins Pathway only 1.2 miles away from Temple-Effin Cottage. Breathtaking walks and cycle routes abound or if it’s a round of golf you want from a clifftop course, then Whitehead Golf Club less than a mile away won’t disappoint. I highly recommend a walk up to Blackhead Lighthouse (1.1miles from the cottage). If you continue on this walk it will then leads you down to Whitehead Promenade and into the town where there are some fabulous cafes great local amenities.

It is a 15 minute walk into Whitehead from the cottage. The town offers a couple of pubs (with Live music) and plenty of places to eat (cafes, takeaways, restaurants). I advise to book the restaurants in advance as they are very popular. Also within the town are hair salons/barbers, butchers, green grocers, bakery, sweet shop, chemists, local supermarket and a library.

Whitehead has excellent road and rail connections and is only 30 minutes from Belfast.
