About

Farm Cottage at Glenarm Castle Estate

Set within the remarkable surroundings of the Glenarm Castle Estate, this special farm cottage - known as The Mill House - offers a truly distinctive escape. Formerly the long‑time home of a celebrated artist and author, the cottage reflects 25 years of creative life: vibrant colours, quirky angles, retro touches, and a warm, lived‑in charm.

With Wi‑Fi but few modern gadgets, and a deep, indulgent bath in place of a shower, this is a place designed for slowing down and switching off. Guests can unwind by the woodburning stove, browse a well‑stocked collection of books, enjoy board games, or make use of the art materials thoughtfully provided.

Nestled within its own garden on a working farm, the cottage comfortably sleeps six and welcomes children, who should be supervised, and dogs by request. Its surroundings are a nature‑lover’s dream: peaceful woodland strolls, riverside walks along the salmon‑rich Glenarm River, and regular sightings of red squirrels. Day fishing permits are available, and guests receive half‑price entry to the Glenarm Castle Walled Garden.
The estate is also home to the renowned Glenarm Organic Shorthorn Beef herd and the award‑winning Glenarm Organic Salmon.

Offering tranquillity, character, and a gateway to the Glens of Antrim and the Causeway Coast, The Mill House is the perfect retreat for anyone seeking rest, inspiration or adventure.
