Carrickfergus Town was the original capital of Northern Ireland.

Within a 5 Minute walk is the famous Carrickfergus Castle built in 1177, the yacht marinas, pubs and restaurants where one can relax enjoy the view of Belfast Lough, the Gas Works - the sole surviving coal gas works museum and the town centre, complete with Tesco, Sainsburys, Omniplex (Cinemas) and McDonald's.

Ten minutes by car you will be able to visit the Knockagh Monument which by it's altitude overlooks the Belfast Lough and one can see Carrickfergus, Newtownabbey, Belfast, Bangor, Holywood and as far as Newtownards. (A must see on a clear day).

A children's playground is within a 2 minute walk or a 10 minute walk to a larger playground.
