Newmills Country House

4 Mill Lane, Ballycarry, Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, BT38 9JW

About

Discover Newmills Country House: Nestled on the serene shores of Larne Lough, near Ballycarry, Newmills Country House is a stunning Georgian estate set within 12 acres of private, tranquil grounds. We are proud custodians of our 400 year old water power heritage at Newmills, the original water powered mill for the surrounding townlands. Today, we continue to create green energy, producing our own electricity from water power and reducing the carbon footprint of the estate .

Perfect for larger groups or families, Newmills boasts three cosy ensuite bedrooms, 2 doubles and one twin. Guests have full access to the drawing room breakfast area, equipped with comfortable sofas, an impressive book collection, and an outdoor patio. BBQ facilities are available upon request for those perfect al fresco evenings.

Experience the Beauty of Nature and Comfort

At Newmills you will find yourself surrounded by the beauty and spirit of the natural world. For groups of 4 or more, we offer nature immersion experiences based on the ancient art of forest bathing and aimed at awakening your inner wild, exploring deeper connections with the land and the non human beings who share it with us.

Convenient Access and Nearby Attractions - Accessible by car or train, Newmills is a secluded haven while remaining close to local attractions. Ample parking is available for up to four cars. A mere five-minute walk from Ballycarry train station, you can take a direct train to Belfast for a day of urban exploration.

Explore the Surroundings - The surrounding area has many interesting and beautiful places to visit during your stay, including the Victorian railway town of Whitehead, the dramatic Gobbins Cliff Path, picturesque Portmuck Harbour, and the scenic Browns Bay Beach.

Embrace the charm and tranquility of Newmills Country House, where luxury and nature harmoniously blend for an unforgettable retreat from the stresses of everyday life.  Book your stay today.
